HRC Men Secure Final Place with Victory over Birmingham Met College
Huntingdonshire Regional College men's 1st team came out victorious from their BCS Elite National Semi Final tie with Birmingham Met College.
The winners fo this game would advance to the National Final which is to be played at Doncaster Rovers Keepmoat Stadium on the 11th May 2010. A Close fought game saw HRC take the lead through Matt Cox's header before Birmingham levelled before half time. Jordan Gent then scored twice to put the home side in front at 3-1. The game though entered the last ten minuted with Birmingham Pulling a goal back to set up a grand stand last period, but HRC held on and celebrated at the final whistle their hard earned victory and place in the Final on the 11th May.
It represents a huge achievement from the squad who now have the chance to become national champions.
